Accommodation & Travel Information for 2025 AIPAS Participants

1) Venue

2025 Auer International Piano Academy (AIPAS) will be held at Korea National University of Arts, School of Music (Seocho-dong Campus). Please note that the university has several campuses, so be sure to check for directions to the Seocho-dong Campus to avoid confusion.

2) Getting to K-Arts from Incheon Airport

There are multiple ways to get from Incheon International Airport (ICN) to Korea National University of Arts, Seocho-dong Campus:

• Airport Limousine Bus: A convenient option that takes you directly to the city.

• Subway: The most affordable option, but may require transfers.

• Taxi: The fastest but most expensive option.

For detailed directions, please refer to the official K-Arts Transportation Guide. ❗Again, make sure you are checking directions to the Seocho-dong Campus, not the Seokgwan-dong Campus.

3) Accommodation

Here are some recommended options:

• Hotels: 

  • Toyoko Inn Gangnam – A budget-friendly option with good accessibility to public transportation. Sharing a two-bed room can be a cost-effective choice. Check Toyoko Inn Gangnam

  • Shilla Stay Seocho – A more upscale option with comfortable rooms and excellent facilities, located conveniently near the academy. Check Shilla Stay Seocho
    
    

• Airbnb: For a more affordable option, Airbnb is recommended too. Look for places near Nambu Terminal Station (Line 3), which is within walking distance of the venue. Other nearby subway stations include:

  • Seocho Station (Line 2)

  • Gyodae (Seoul National Univ. of Education) Station (Line 3 & 2)

  • Bangbae Station (Line 2)

  • Express Bus Terminal Station (Line 3, 7, 9)

  • Yangjae Station (Line 3, Shinbundang Line)

4) Transportation in Seoul

Seoul has an efficient and affordable public transportation system.

• Subway & Buses: A single short trip costs around $1 USD.

• Taxis: If public transportation feels difficult, especially in the hot weather, taxis are also a convenient option. The Kakao Taxi app (similar to Uber) is the most reliable and widely used taxi service in Korea.

• Navigation: Google Maps does not work well in Korea. Instead, we recommend using Naver Map, which can be downloaded from the App Store.

5) Food & Dining

• There are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and markets near the academy, offering a wide range of affordable dining options.
