Pianist Honggi Kim is a renowned artist for his unique musicality, where rationality and emotion seamlessly come together, creating a distinctive sound and interpretation. His approach is shaped by his early studies in both piano and composition, which allowed him to develop a personal perspective and deep understanding of music.
He has earned numerous prizes in international competitions, including Isangyun, Jaén, Hong Kong, Geneva, Géza Anda, Schubert in Germany and many other. Hong-gi Kim has performed in solo recitals, chamber music, and as a concerto soloist across Europe, Asia, and many other countries.
As a pianist, he presents such a unique program every year. In 2025, he presents the complete piano solo works of Maurice Ravel to mark the 150th anniversary of Ravel’s birth.
Pianist Jung-Won Suh has established herself as one of the most refined artists of her generation. She has a great reputation of her delicate musical sense, elaborate and colorful tones, and of being a genuine pianist that reflects her inner self through music.
Highlights of Suh's concert seasons include Spain Cordoba Symphony Orchestra in the Europe Tour concert in Spain, Czech Republic and Austria including a cooperative performance at Musikverein Golden Hall of Vienna. Suh expanded her stage to Europe and was acknowledged by media and the audience for her performance. She had the opportunity to perform with Prague Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Sinfonietta, North Philharmonic Orchestra, and Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra during her European stage. Suh was also invited as a guest soloist with the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Albany Symphony, KBS Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra, Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra in South Korea.
Suh's skills were also recognized in other countries including Korea, China, and Japan. She was invited to perform in these countries, especially as a special guest at Japan’s Young Musician festivals, Chosun Daily's New Art Concert, and Seoul Arts Center for various performances. Suh also participated in recording for several albums introducing Mozart piano concertos (No.9 & No.20) with St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Aleksander Dmitriev, the 100th anniversary album of Griegs' death Grieg Piano Concerto with Slovak Sinfonietta, and Tchaikovsky piano concerto No.1 with Prague Radio Broadcasting Orchestra. Furthermore, past recital appearances include solo piano recital at Washington's Kennedy Center, Italy Monferrato Festival, as well as chamber concert series with ‘Avec Piano Trio’.
Born in South Korea, Suh attended Yewon Music School and Seoul Art High School and graduated from Ewha Womans University in Korea as a top student in the Department of Music. Suh continued her study at the New England Conservatory in U.S.A. and received her master's degree as the Best Performing Artist in the School. She studied under the direction of Menahem Pressler at the Indiana University and received her Artist Diploma. Suh has a record of wins in numerous competitions. These include the KBS Young Artist Competition, the Honors Competition at NEC, and IU Concerto Competition. She actively performed in various stages such as invited recitals at Isabella Stuart Gardener Museum Concert Series, N.E.C. Brahms & Schubert Festival, Schubert, Schoenberg & Schubert Festival, Indiana University Chopin Festival, and Indiana Chamber Cooperative Performances (with orchestras, Camber Concert).
She resumed her long, achieving career in Korea by receiving the most prestigious prize for new musician by Music Journal as the most promising next generation pianist. Suh enhanced her international status as an educator, sitting as a judge for the 7th Spanish Composer International Piano Competition in Madrid 2006 and for S. Scriabin International Piano Competition in Grosseto, Italy 2007. Suh was also a proud piano faculty member for the Euro Music Festival in Leipzig, Head Professor of Pusan Music Festival Academy of Music, Seoul National University, Korean National University of Arts and Art Academy at Seoul Arts Center in Korea. She currently remains as a piano faculty member at wellknown Yewon Art School and Seoul Art High School.
Pianist Kinwai Shum has played numerous recitals in Europe, North America and Far East Asia, and has performed as a concerto soloist with the Dortmund Philharmonic and the Hong Kong Symphonia, among others. He was invited to perform and teach in the Indiana University Summer Music Festival, Lancaster International Piano Festival, both in the US, and the Yeoncheon DMZ International Music Festival in Korea. He has recorded many programs for the Radio 4 of the Radio Television Hong Kong. His all-Schubert album was released by Universal Music in 2014 with rave reviews.
Kinwai was awarded the third prize in the 4th Hilton Head International Piano Competition in the US in 1999, the fourth prize in the 11th Schubert International Piano Competition in Dortmund, Germany in 2007, and the audience prize in the 20th New Orleans International Piano Competition in the US in 2008. He was presented the Certificate of Commendation by the Secretary for Home Affairs, the Government of Hong Kong in 2008, and the Distinguished Young Pianist Award by the Hong Kong Piano Music Association in 2009. He is the awardee of the 2013 Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong.
Born in Hong Kong, Kinwai was a junior student of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts where he studied with Eva Lue. He completed a master’s degree of music in piano performance at the Eastman School of Music under the guidance of Douglas Humpherys. He later studied with Edward Auer at the Indiana University at Bloomington, and with Jörg Demus.
He currently teaches at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Hong Kong Bapist University, and the Education University of Hong Kong where he is an Honorary Artist-in-residence.
His recent engagements included solo recitals earlier this year in Changzhou, Guiyang and Yokohama, as well as performances at the Hong Kong French May Art Festival.
Eun Jung Shon, a native of Seoul, Korea,
is a highly accomplished pianist. Graduate of the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University where she earned multiple degrees on full scholarships.
She has won numerous competitions in Korea and expanded her career globally by achieving first prizes in prestigious
international competitions, including the New Orleans International competition and the St. Charles International Competition.
As a soloist, she has performed with renowned orchestras worldwide and has been invited to play at esteemed venues such as Musikverein Hall in Vienna and the Berlin Philharmoniker.
In addition to her performances, Shon is a also dedicated educator. She currently serves as a faculty member at arts schools in Seoul, and the Music Academy for Gifted Children at the Seoul Arts Center.
